Meeting New People

Deb Widdis
(Deb Widdis)

Just like everyone I know we all enjoy meeting new people. Deb Widdis is the latest addition to the new friends list. Deb is a co-worker who lives in NE and is up for training this week. We have emailed a few times and met very briefly when she started but until last night we have never had that good meet and greet time. She is AMAZING!!!!! If you are having any kind of life troubles or just need to have a good time Deb is the one to make it happen. She definatly made my week by meeting her and having the chance to get to know her more then just a work relationship.
Deb you need to move to FARGO!!

Deb has a great Bio if you google her. She is like my aunt in CA they both have the attitude that you are never to old to do anything. Deb started BodyBuilding at 30 years old and fell in love with the sport. My aunt went back to college for nursing in her late 40's and has been in nursing for about 8 years now and loves her job even on the rough days.
Two great people in mylife!!!

End to a Year

As the year is coming to an end everyone starts to think about those New Years resolutions. I cant say that I have ever kept a New Years resolution and dont know anyone who has kept one either. I held pretty true to my no soda rule. The only time I would have it would be for a special treat at bowling or when Kyle and I would go to the movies, we will share a drink. (so expensive to buy water at the movies). So I guess that I will reslove to workout more, as always and the one that everyone resloves, along with working on cutting out the candy which I was doing really well with until the Corelink Candy drawer came about. HeeHee. Plus keep up the low soda.
I think I will also resolve to cook more. This way I can keep things a little more healthy then when Kyle does the cooking.
So until the NEW YEAR, good luck on making your resolutions.

Long time No See

I can blaim the absence of my blogging on the new job and the new house. Febuary I accepted a new position at a new company in Fargo. I went from Steel to Software. I now know what people mean when they say their work is there life. There is so much to learn at this new job and so many people bring you ideas and their opinions on how things she be done. The best part of the job is I can pretty much set my own hours just as long as the work gets done. So right now Im spending my mornings in the office, afternoons regrouping my mind and then my evenings working again till its time for Kyle and I's favorite shows.
The house: its coming along slow but I think it will be great once a few more months go by and we have a few more warm touches.
I drive by the rink now at least one day a week thinking I will be getting my skates back on but just cant seem to pull myself there to try my edges.
My 30th birthday is coming up and I have the feeling its going to be another bust birthday. Birthday thought one- California, go to the Schwabs and then tool down to Sea World for a day and maybe Palm Springs. Two go to Utah to my friends Liz and have her put me thru a boot camp for a week at her fitness club.
Both these sound like they will have to be single trips for me since Kyle has been buying things for the house up the wazoo.
The first weekend in Dec Mom and I had a meal with an old friend Susan Nowlin and her man friend Julian. She is the happiest I think she has ever been and im so happy for her. Got me thinking tho about all the things that could have been if I would have been able to stay in WY.
Running out of time before I have to sleep for the night, have about hours work of work left to do as well. I will try and post more now that things are getting under control.

Last Year In My 20's

On March 21st I will have my 29th birthday. Unlike most woman I dont mind telling my age and Im sure some people would say that is brave but I could careless if Im going to be 30 next year. 30 to me is when life really gets exciting! I believe you start to find a balance and the worries of life start to go away and make more sence on how to solve problems and make a happy life. At 30 you start LIVE. I have started to realize its not about the fad's, the friends you keep, the car you drive or the house you live in. Life really is what you make it and you can only change what is not making you happy.
March has been a fresh start for me. I guess that was supose to happen at New Years but for me it is now. I have a new job, a new favorite musical artist, a great group of co-workers, starting to eat better then I have in the past, less stressed, getting bills paid, reconnecting with lost friends, and just a over all calmer feeling. My only hold up these days is tyring to tollerate living in North Dakota and excepting I'm stuck here the rest of my life. Maybe that will make going other places to visit that much more exciting.
To end with just a note-as I blog I'm listening to my cat snore which is so funny. He has been doing that alot the past few months and it makes me smile. Poor boy is so tired. Oh there goes the other cat snoring to. Silly cats. Spooky and Rosie and there cat naps.

Missing My True Friends

This morning I heard a song on the radio that reminded me of my 11 years living in Jackson Hole. I miss living there so much and especially all the friends I had/have. I looked at my facebook and my friend list is 80% people that live so far away from me. It make me sad that they are all so far aways and they are not close. I'm trying very hard to get to see them when I can but life's expenses make it tough.
So to all my friends out there I hope to visit soon.

Todays Surprise

I got a phone call last night at 5:30 p.m. from the HR guy at work telling me to be to work the next a.m.(wed) at 7:30 a.m., he had a project for me. For a min. I grumbled but thought OK I can get there an hour before my usual start time no problem. Yes no problem because my stupid car died again, whatever it only 2 years old, and I had to take Kyle to work at 7 a.m. this morning so it worked out great. When I got to work I found out I would be spending the day shopping and going to the Children's Hospital to donate gifts for the 30 kids staying there over Christmas. YEAH!!!!! So off to Toys R Us I went and had a blast shopping. Then around noon I and my co-worker Justin took the gifts to the kids. We only were able to meet 2 kids but it was fun all the same. We toured the whole floor and learned a lot about the unit. They really have a neat place for those kids to live on temporary terms.
So now to pick up my husband and my hopefully fixed car. What a day on all levels.

2nd chance hope

They say life is full of second chances. Chances to make thing right or better for ones self. Well I really hope that today is that second chance for me. I have a job interview at a local hospital for a sterile processing tech. Something I really did not know much about but is a very important job! I was facebook chatting with an old friend this a.m. and was telling her the news of the interview and she told me she has a friend that does this SPT job, loves it. I like to organize and put things in there place so I hope this is the job for me and what I have been searching for. Aunt Patty I think this is as close to a nurse as I will get sorry to say.
Another part of the job I would like is the continuing education to keep your certificate. The old I have become the more I want to learn new things. I enjoy museums and documentaries more and more along with symphony's and reading. THIS IS GOOD as my mom would say.
So here's hoping on the J.O.B.!
